JC French is a 2022 C/RHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Wesleyan HS. Recorded a 7.71 second 60-yard dash time. Lean build with plenty of time left for physical development. Primary catcher who receives with two hands and has a pretty strong arm for his age. Limited ground gained with a very quick transfer and release. Secondary righthanded pitcher who graded out best from the position in this look. Good arm speed and has a clean arm stroke through the back. Works fast and attacks both sides of the plate. High three-quarters arm slot and fastball has explosive life. Nice fading action to the changeup, very effective against hitters of opposite handedness. Maintains arm speed on changeup. Balanced and online delivery and the athleticism shines through. Has a future on the mound and should continue to develop well with a fastball up to 81 mph. Righthanded hitter with an open base and an upper half dominant swing. Creates leverage to the pull side when out in front. Line drive contact when squared well and peppered the pull side and up the middle with line drives. Named to the 2018 14u Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
