Matthew Houston is a 2022 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Longview, TX who attends Hallsville. Strong throwing arm behind the plate. It's a real weapon and he was clocked up to 80 MPH. His best pop time was 1.91. Good receiving skills. Strength based swing at the plate. Longer bat path and finds the barrel frequently in BP. Strong hands with a quick trigger and makes a lot of loud contact. Most of his power is to pullside but he does show feel to use the entire field. Excellent student in the classroom. Houston is committed to Navarro College.
