Christopher Oates is a 2025 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Home School. Recorded a 7.37 second 60-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a high-waist frame and lean athletic build. Easy mover on the dirt with long strides and actions. Hands work to both sides with arm strength on throws across the diamond at 88 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher working from the stretch with a belt-high lift to balance. Clean mechanics with a 3/4 arm slot delivery and projectable frame to add to fastball up to 82 mph (1953 RPM) and curveball at 82 mph (1815 RPM). Flashed a knuckleball at 68 mph with developing command. Switch-hitter with an upright and even base from the right side of the plate. Short knee-lift trigger and direct path through the zone. Compact swing through the middle with line-drive impact. Similar stance from the left side with most loft to the path and backside release at contact. Pull side impact with extension out front from the left side. Excellent student.
