Matt Lintz is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Placida, FL who attends Lemon Bay HS. Tall frame with a long and lean build with longer limbs. Ran a 7.08 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a projectable body. Easy effort delivery with a clean release. Slightly higher leg lift with a slight hip coil at the gather. Long and loose arm action in the back and releases the ball from a high three-quarters arm slot. Extended follow through while remaining in line and balanced to the plate. Stays around the plate well with pitches. Fastball can stay straight or can show some sinking run at times in the lower velocities. Sat in the upper 70's while topping out at 81 miles per hour. Curveball with an 11-to-5 shape and gets some good downward movement. Also worked out defensively from first base. Good size for the position. Footwork was clean while moving to and through the baseball. Fields with a deeper funnel up to the body. Throws had average carry across the diamond with some accuracy to the bag. Righthanded hitter with a spread and even stance. Utilizes a short pull back load with a no stride shift into contact. Swings the bat on a level plane through contact.
