Canyon Meeks is a 2023 SS/2B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Waverly Hall, GA who attends Harris County. Very good runner, recorded a 6.69 60-yard dash time. Primary middle infielder with medium build with obvious athleticism and strength with more coming. In the infield he showed advanced actions with range to both sides. Footwork is clean and glove behind and below the ball with clean exchange and a big arm, up to 87 mph with carry and accuracy to the bag. Showed ability to make every play and stick at shortstop. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and low hand set. Gets good separation in the swing with ability to spray hard liners all over the field. Has feel for the barrel with evident pull-side pop, hit a homer in the round. Secondary right-handed pitcher with smooth operation on the mound. Side step to a belt high lift to balance with a clean arm action to a high three-quarters release, creating extension out front. Fastball up to 87 mph (2100 RPM) with late ride in the zone. Flashed changeup in low-70s with arm-side depth and fade (1972 RPM). Athleticism plays in all parts of the game. Good student. Named to 2022 Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
