2023 Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Lucas Martz is a 2025 C/2B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Enola, PA who attends East Pennsboro Area. Slender young build with lots of growing ahead of him. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, arm strength is his best present defensive tool, still developing his actions and flow, does a good job of staying low and under the ball in his receiving. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a big barrel tilt load, has some hand speed and stays short and compact through the ball while creating some barrel whip, stayed on time well and barreled up the ball consistently. Good athlete who will continue to refine his catching mechanics while getting stronger. Very good student. Named to the Pittsburgh Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
