Gavin Alveti is a 2022 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Searcy, AR who attends Harding Academy. Recorded a 7.41 second 60 yard dash time. Large frame and stocky build with present strength. Primary catcher with a short arm action and high effort operation. Stiff actions, tends to stand straight up to throw. Will improve by staying low throughout and gaining ground towards second base. Developing glove work, body and arm strength stand out, recorded a solid 1.97 second pop time and threw it at 76 mph from behind the plate. Right-handed hitter with an even stance and hand set, utilizes a small step forward as his timing mechanism. Simple operation overall, showed bat speed and some pop. Line drive path, flashed good balance and extension with slight recoil. Produced hard contact up the middle, found barrel on almost every pitch. Excellent student.
