2022 Chicago Indoor Showcase
David Cox is a 2024 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Oak Brook, IL who attends Nazareth Academy. Recorded a 7.67 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame, long and lanky but still physical with strength present, body really projects. Primary shortstop with clean hands out front, has some quickness and athleticism to his actions, looked very good on the charge. Feel for the glove will continue to improve, projects as a third baseman moving forward given the frame and present arm strength. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and open stance, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger. Flashed a line drive approach when at his best, bat path would get downhill at times. Produced some loud contact in both BP and live at bats. Has bat speed and obvious strength within the swing, high offensive upside overall and the power really projects moving forward. Good student. Named to the 2022 Chicago Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
