Ryan Shurgin is a 2026 2B/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Bedford, NY who attends Rye Country Day. Works from a medium frame. Primary second baseman, covers ground and works through the ball well, stays fairly light on the feet, has a good internal clock, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even base with a high back elbow, utilizes a small toe tap trigger, delivers the barrel on-plane, works the entire field, gets a bit rotational at times, creates leverage to the middle of the field when timed up, recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.47 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
