Benjamin Arendale is a 2023 3B/RHP/2B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Northport, AL who attends Tuscaloosa Co. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a hanging front leg load, has strong hands and drives the hard to the ball, hand path is short and tight, has some loop to his barrel path but gets to the ball on time and shows strength at contact, projectable hitting tools. 6.93 runner in the sixty. Has clean fundamental actions in the infield on defense, rounds the ball well and fields out front with soft hands, has some arm whip with a quick release, can throw from multiple arm slots. Also pitched, throws from a 3/4's arm slot with solid mechanics, is aggressive and works quickly. Fastball worked up to 82 mph with good heavy sinking action at the plate. Breaking ball was his best pitch and he throws it often, shows feel for changing the shape and locating the pitch, also threw a straight change up. Has potential on the mound as well as a position player. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
