Wade Mountz is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-7 230 lb. frame from Morgan Hill, CA who attends Bellarmine College Prep. Extra big and strong build, especially in his hips and thighs. Early back turn to start his delivery, high leg raise, rotational delivery leading to a 3/4's arm slot, hooked off line arm action. Fastball worked in the upper 80's and topped out at 91 mph, best velocities when he lowers his arm slot to mid-3/4's, best life at lower velocities. Change up was a good pitch the harder he threw it, gets some late run and fade. Sweeping slider he tends to get under. Still developing consistency in his release and mechanics. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
