Avery Webster is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Glen Ellyn, IL who attends Glenbard South. Ran a 7.39 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a medium lean build. Works under control to the ball fielding it on the side and transitioning into a crow hop with a long arm action releasing from a lower slot with some whip to the arm action showing average arm strength. Worked from the stretch only on the mound with a long arm action getting off in the back while the lower half lands slightly closed as the arm works to a low three-quarters arm slot creating some natural cut on the fastball at 70-73 mph. The curveball showed big shape out of the hand with young spin traits that project well moving forward as he continues to mature and add arm speed. Does a nice job using his arm angle and delivery to create some deception allowing him to induce some weaker contact. left-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a smaller leg lift trigger with a long stride into contact. Shifts the weight forward into contact with an aggressive rotation into contact as the hands look to stay inside the ball and make contact out front with a flatter path. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
