Luke Curtin is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from North Andover, MA who attends Brooks. Recorded a 8.10 second sixty-yard dash time. Larger frame with long limbs and plenty of time to physically mature. Primary left-handed pitcher that works from an abbreviated windup, using a higher three-quarters arm slot with slower takeaway and arm circle on the backside. Confident strike thrower with propensity to use the outer thirds of the plate fairly often, fastball worked in the mid-upper 60s and topped at 68 miles per hour. Held velocity throughout the entirety of his outing with ability to defend the running game and showed developing feel for his curveball at 52 miles per hour. Secondary outfielder with long strides into the fielding process, fielding off to the side and keep fairly decent momentum through release. Recorded developing arm strength up to 71 miles per hour in drills. Left-handed hitter with a middle-to-opposite field approach, elongated and upward swing path and developing feel for his barrel. Simple operation with minimal pre-swing movements, slightly open stance and pre-set hand load. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and physical maturity. Good Student.
