Sam Rohlfing is a 2023 MIF/RHP/IF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Hoffman Estates, IL who attends Harvest Christian Academy. Nice athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open start with a good lower half gather, hits from the ground up, swings hard and creates some bat speed, gets extended well and has power potential as he adds strength. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Showed a long and loose arm action from a lower arm slot in the infield, fields the ball cleanly out front and gets to his backhand well, foot quickness best suited for third base at present. Also pitched, works from multiple arm slots from high 3/4's all the way down to side arm. Upper 70's fastball gets good run at times and curveball flashes some bite, can create more consistent control with a more consistent release point. Good athlete who will keep improving as he fills in his frame more, bat is his best present tool. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
