Zach Liggett is a 2023 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 209 lb. frame from Fenton, MO who attends Rockwood Summit. Big and strong physical build. Hits from a crouched square stance with a back lean load to start his swing, big stride into contact, aggressive swing with big lower half turn, has some bat speed and ability to impact the ball, hands can get too inside at times keeping him from turning the barrel. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Best defensive tool behind the plate is his arm strength, long and strong arm with good carry on his throws, can continue to develop his lower half athleticism and quickness. Also pitched, works from a step by step delivery with some energy at release and a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the upper 70's, mostly straight. Change up was his best off-speed with good arm speed and life, also threw a curveball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
