James Butler is a 2025 OF/SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Lakewood Ranch. Medium height with a strong and athletic build. Ran a 6.96 in the sixty yard dash. A primary outfielder, smooth footwork and rounds the ball well. Working through with fluidity and timing, smooth round and the arm has a chance to be plus. A right-handed hitter, narrow with higher hands and very good bat speed. looking to pull with intent and showing some power potential. Also pitched and has good traits on his fastball and slider. Good extension and throws downhill with the heater. Slider has hard spin and late bit. Upside as he refines the delivery and repeats. Solid two way ability. Excellent student.
