Aidan Hutchins is a 2020 C/IF, OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Wading River, NY who attends Shoreham-Wading River. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength. Primary catcher with a taller, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground towards the bag while working out of crouch with smooth paced footwork. Clean exchanges and released from a three-quarter slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 74 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.12. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Stays balanced throughout and worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Displayed some fluidity in swing while employing a line drive barrel plane. Primarily looked to work the baseball to the middle of the field, between the gaps on a line.
