John Luca Gallina is a 2027 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-4 130 lb. frame from Jackson, NJ who attends Ranney. Works from a younger smaller frame with some twitch to his actions and physical upside. Primary second baseman, quick feet, works through the ball well, delivered accurate throws, good lateral range, recorded arm strength up to 79 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full wind-up delivery, starts his operation from the first base side of the rubber, breaks into a deeper arm path and releases from a high three-quarters slot, uses his body well, repeatable compact delivery with present arm speed, filled up the zone with the fastball and topped it out at 80 mph, pitched to contact, projects for more velocity with added strength. Right-handed hitter, starts in an upright narrow stance, generates quickness from the lower-half, uphill bat path, good feel for the barrel, recorded an exit velocity of 75 mph. Ran a 7.38 sixty-yard dash. Named to the Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
