Matthew Paez is a 2026 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Miami Christian. Long lean frame with good projection. Ran a 7.83 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, methodical delivery with slower pace, very easy release through a high three-quarters slot, gets on top of the fastball well and shows short run to the arm side up to 81 mph, good feel for big vertical breaking ball, healthy shape and spin to project on, did flash a changeup with low spin. Also worked out in the infield and outfield, easy mover and gets through the ball well, upper-70s arm strength from both positions and enough feel to make plays at either. Right-handed hitter, tall setup and gets wide in the base, very short to the ball and gets level through the zone, low liner contact to the pull side with more strength to profile than results showed.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
