Sam Resch is a 2028 C/OF/UT with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Sarasota. A lean frame with some athletic traits showing in a compact build. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Worked out as a catcher with open feet, stepping into throws with quick feet and good intent. Throws were around the tag zone and accurate. Threw 67 mph and produced a 2.31 pop time. Also worked out as an outfielder with aggressive actions working to it. Had a clean fielding action with athletic actions. Throws were solid to third and home at 74 mph. Fields it off the front foot with a bit of whip in the arm action. A right-handed hitter with high-set hands and a high-back elbow. Used an inward toe-tap into his stride. He was able to control the barrel to work opposite field during his round of BP. Had some strength at impact showing when working pull-side. Had a short quick load staying short to the baseball with good bat speed. Picked up a base hit in-game.
