2023 National Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Caynen Patterson is a 2025 C/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Troy, MO, who attends Desmet. A medium frame with athleticism showing in his build. Strength present as well. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with open feet to start. Throws were firm out of the hand, showing the arm strength at 79 mph down to second. Produced a 1.88 pop time with an uber-quick release. He gains momentum well, working through the catch-n-throw with tons of quickness. Also worked out as an infielder with quick feet, showing the pocket early and letting it rip across the field at 87 mph. Serious strength with fluid actions with the glove. A right-handed hitter with high hands and a high back elbow. Closed feet to start with the weight on his back foot. Had a quick and minimal leg lift into his stride moving forward. Had strength off the barrel with bat speed present. Uncoils well through contact with hard turns. Was able to get working uphill and drive it. Had lots of loud contact with well-struck balls in the air to the back of the cage during his round of BP. Hiut well in-game as well, finding the barrel for a double. Excellent student. Named to 2023 National Indoor (Saturday) Showcase TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
