Cody Johnson is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Harvest, AL who attends St. John Paul II Catholic. Medium frame with a young, lean build showing room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 6.95 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, athletic actions as he proved to have lateral range. Gathers out front with feel before working quickly into transfer. Arm strength starting to show as he threw it 76 mph with accuracy across the diamond. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch. Balanced throughout as he drops and drives. Quick arm speed as he released with intent. Gets over the front side as he runs the fastball up to 77 mph with cut. Breaking ball showing vertical depth when he finds his release point. Right-Handed Hitter, starting even as he works into separation. Does a good job creating lag as he gets the hands inside the baseball. Whip to the barrel as he proved he could lift it to all fields. Outstanding Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
