Quinton Jones is a 2024 C/ with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Lincoln College Preparatory Academy. Recorded a 7.24 second 60 yard dash time. Lean and well proportioned frame that projects well moving forward. Primary catcher with a low set up and short and choppy footwork. Gains limited ground towards the target, tends to stand straight up to throw. Uphill thrower with a short arm action, recorded a 2.31 second pop time at 67 mph. Will improve as he stays low throughout the process and keeps his momentum going towards second base. Secondary right-handed pitcher with an easy and low effort delivery, comes from a high three-quarters slot. Developing command and limited movement to the fastball at present, flashed a curveball with 12-6 shape and some depth, tended to slow his arm down when throwing it. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and slightly open stance. Utilizes a high hand set and a toe tap trigger. Has some rhythm to the operation but struggled with his timing in this look. Long swing path on a flat plane, limited separation in the swing at present. Flashed some bat speed, will improve as he becomes more comfortable with his timing.
