Braden Mellage is a 2025 C/IF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Iselin, NJ who attends John F Kennedy Memorial. As a primary C, Mellage worked from a side saddle set with present bounce and ground effectively gained in the footwork. He released quickly and consistently with further room to work downhill and put throws on the bag. He topped out at 68 mph with arm strength expected to make a jump as the frame physically fills out. On the offensive end, the righty started from a wider base with a high hand set and simple stride into impact, generating consistent contact to the middle pull side of the field. Mellage displayed evident bat speed through the zone, extending the barrel nicely while repeating the stroke well throughout his round. Posted an exit velo of 77 mph. Ran a 7.53 sixty yard dash.
