Hezekiah Scott is a 2022 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from College Park, GA who attends Westlake. A long, wirey frame with long limbs and a lot of room to fill, 7.04 second sixty-yard time. Primary outfielder had accurate throws to the bases, tends to play back on the ball, fields the ball out front and carries his momentum through this throws, up to 77 miles per hour. Still raw in the outfield as he continues to refine fielding mechanics. Secondary left-handed pitcher, comes from a high 3/4 arm slot with a slight hitch in his arm swing. From the wind-up, uses a side-rocker step to a waist high leg lift, remains linear throughout delivery. Fastball was up to 77 miles per hour with spotty command, spray the strike zone working in a range of 72-77 miles per hour. Still developing feel for breaking ball, showed 1-7 shape with some depth. Could incorporate his lower half more and use his frame to stride the down the mound creating more power. Right-handed hitter with a middle-of-the-field approach, begins with a high-hand set and high-back elbow. A flat barrel path that at times can get a bit long, staying in the zone long enough to get the barrel out in front for contact. There is strength remaining to be added to his frame. Very good student.
