Josiah Haglund is a 2023 OF/RHP, 1B with a 6-0 162 lb. frame from Newberry, FL who attends Newberry. Recorded a 7.84 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, high waisted frame with room to add strength. Primary outfielder with aggressive actions into the fielding process, gathering fairly clean out in front and working into a longer arm action to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph during the defensive portion of the workout. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wide, slightly open stance with a high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Sound approach with good weight shift into contact, compact swing path and rhythm to his movements. Contact oriented stroke with consistent bat-to-ball skills, developing feel for the barrel and occasional line-drive impact to all fields. Will continue to improve with additional strength and proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.
