Anthony Salmonese is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-10 167 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Moore Catholic. Recorded a 5.05 second forty-yard dash time. Medium, square shouldered frame with plenty of room and time to fill out. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set; fields cleanly off his front foot, gathers efficiently into a well-maintained small crow-hop to deliver accurate throws. Recorded developing arm strength up to 79 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates deliberate pace to his delivery, a slightly coiled leg lift into balance and drop-and-drive lower half mechanics down the slope. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 77 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Showed developing command of the strike zone, working mostly the upper quadrant with his fastball and mixed in a promising 12-6 shaped curveball that showed late life to its action. Will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance and uses a simple leg lift for timing. Middle-of-the field approach with present bat speed and good feel for the barrel. Simple, repeatable stroke with occasional loud impact through the middle-of-the field, will continue to expand power potential as he physically matures. Developing, young prospect with plenty of upside on both sides of the ball. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
