Faris Kamel is a 2023 1B/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton. Nice athletic build, tall with some present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, has a lean and lift swing approach and is looking to pull the ball in the air, upper body rotational swing, tends to cut off his swing out front, flashed his power when he got a pitch in his zone, will need adjustments in the future to be able to handle the outside half of the plate. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Has good fundamental actions at first base on defense, has good feel for his glove and picks well on low throws, fields the ball cleanly on ground balls, has a quick release on his throws, generally has the athleticism to play at the corner outfield spots as well. Excellent student.
