Alexandru Grama is a 2022 SS/2B, OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Decatur. Medium to Large frame with a lean, athletic type build showing room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 6.85 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, bouncing around as he proved to have lateral range. Works to the baseball under control. Scoops it up and works into a quick transfer. Accurate arm as he threw it 82 mph across the diamond during drills. Switch Hitter, from the right-side, starting even in the stance with a slightly open front side. Lifts and creates separation as he strides out and lands in a balanced position. Stays linear through the zone as he looks to pepper the baseball on a line to all fields. From the left-side, similar stance to start as he works into a leg lift to stride. Relies more on the hands here as he throws the bat head into the hitting zone. Looks to drive it to the pull-side and did so with some success. Great Student. Named to National Academic Top Prospect List.
