Reese Collins is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Bartow, FL who attends Lakeland Christian. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.92 seconds. Hits from upright, narrow-based stance with high back elbow, simple load and overall swing, gets onto front side, middle-opposite field approach with good contact skills. Worked out in the outfield, athleticism stands out in movement patterns, works through the ball well, simple transfer and release, clocked up to 86 mph. Also pitched, clean direction to delivery, compact arm stroke, fastball worked 78-81 mph with good plane to the bottom of the zone, has good feel for the curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth, threw a lot of strikes. Good student.
