Blake Binderup is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-6 205 lb. frame from College Station, TX who attends College Station. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step moving into a leg lift up to belt; compact and clean arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, shows occasional life to arm side when down in the zone, velocity projects moving forward. Replicates arm speed well on release of changeup, up to 83 mph with some sinking life and run to arm side, comfort going to the pitch often. Breaking ball showed depth to it up to 74 mph, shortens extension out front on release, slider was tighter up to 79 mph. Able to miss bats with full arsenal. Waits back on the ball in the outfield, arm works on throws and gets to a three-quarters slot, present arm strength to intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open base and a high hand set at the plate. Longer swing path through the zone, creates solid bat speed to the point of contact, loose wrists, tends to get downward with path at times, projects with added strength. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
