Andrew McAdams is a 2023 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, IF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Sterrett, AL who attends Briarwood Christian. Andrew has an average build and frame. As a catcher, McAdams has a squared setup, and reaches for the ball instead of receiving it softly. His transfer is decent, but the release gets a bit slow. Andrew gains ground toward target with good follow through. At the plate, Andrew showed some really good bat speed with a compact swing. He uses a simple pick up put down stride into hitting position and swings downhill into the pitch. Predominantly a pull hitter, he creates some good backspin and drive through contact. Game swings were actually better then BP. McAdams is a standout student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
