Ryan Ashurst is a 2023 2B/SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Veterans Memorial. Smaller frame with a lean athletic build. Ran a 7.35 second 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, good actions and athleticism on the dirt, good intent working to the spot and moves well through it, very fluid funnel with good balance, compact arm stroke to his release and up to 80 on solid throws across. Right-handed hitter, loads hard on the back side and moves in well, hands-driven stroke working compact through the zone, slightly lifted path and handles the barrel very well, showed some impact to the middle of the field and can use the entire field with comfort.
