Zach Holte is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 5-8 157 lb. frame from Union, NJ who attends Roselle Catholic. Recorded a 7.80 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller, compact frame with room to physically mature and add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher; simple and repeatable mechanics with shorter stride out to foot strike and a high three-quarters arm slot. Pounds the strike zone fairly well with developing command of his fastball/curveball combination and some present arm speed through release. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for most of his outing, topping out at 77 mph with some life to the arm-side. Curveball is presently in the developmental stages with loose spin traits and the ability to land it for strikes. Secondary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set; anticipatory footwork into the fielding process with segmented actions into gather. Deliberate movements into the throwing process with arm strength recorded up to 76 mph in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wide based stance with a high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates pre-loaded lower half with linear stride out to foot strike. Lofted stroke with developing bat-to-ball skills and occasional line drive impact to the pull-side. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
