Nathan Saavedra is a 2021 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from South Lyon, MI who attends South Lyon East. Medium frame with a stocky type build showing broad shoulders and a filling out lower half. Ran a 7.44 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, taking efficient routes to the baseball as he worked to it quickly. Clean gather to the side and then works into a quick release. Compact arm action as he released uphill. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 83 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a balanced motion as he is simple in his actions while proving he can repeat. Similar arm action as he stays compact before releasing from a higher slot. Does a great job loading up on backside and exploding down the hill. Fastball up to 82 mph with life out of hand. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball that is work in progress but landed for strikes. Right-Handed Hitter, starting even before utilizing a knee to knee type load. Strides out and then works into a longer swing path. Slightly uphill path as he looked to drive it deep with every cut. Generated loud contact when he squared it up as he projects more power down the road. Good Student. Named to World Uncommitted Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
