Jason Rodriguez is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from White Plains, NY who attends Valhalla. Smaller average build with some room to fill out. Ran a 7.30 6-yard dash. Primary catcher, has quick actions, stands up on throws, showed a quick transfer with short arm action and average arm strength, rushed a couple transfers but throws were consistently on the bag. Threw out would be base stealers in game. Hit from a wide and slightly closed stance at the plate, rock back load, leg lift timing, flat/line drive bat path. Best contact to the pull side, using the ground well and putting the barrel on the baseball best with that approach. Pitched even though he wasn't scheduled too, showed a 3/4 arm slot, belt high leg lift, and a FB that had some sink at 77 and was effective. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
