Landon Kerkmaz is a 2021 1B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Colony, TX who attends McKinney. Ran a 7.23 second sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman that has tall and slender frame with room to fill out and add strength. Feet move well, with advanced actions coming off the bag and through the fielding actions. Has a quicker arm stroke, making consistently accurate throws to bases at 76 miles per hour. Secondary outfielder that has clean gather and approach to the baseball. Reads the ball well with quick first step, positioning well and playing through the fielding actions with good momentum into throws. Has some present arm strength, with accurate throws that have good carry up to 81 miles per hour. Left-handed hitter with a wide stance into a rock back load, shows some natural lift to the barrel plane. Has developing bat speed and flashes some pop to the pull side when squared. Secondary left-handed pitcher, starting from the windup with a side step into a shorter leg lift below the belt. Has slight drop and drive actions down the mound, landing on line with good linear direction at foot strike. Has a long and loose arm action, coming through from a high three-quarter slot. Gets some natural cut to the fastball at 70-to-73 miles per hour, has developing feel for the release point at times that leads to developing command of the strike zone. Good student.
