2020 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Gavin Hause is a 2022 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends North Fort Myers. Recorded a 7.03 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller, compact frame with present athleticism and some quick twitch. Primary shortstop with athletic actions through the fielding process, showing the ability to range well to either side and get rid of the baseball quickly. Incorporates slightly deliberate transfer process but showed present arm strength up to 84 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Fairly simple operation with some segmented components to the swing mechanics. Middle-of-the field approach with good explosion from his lower half and good feel for the barrel. Will continue to improve consistency with minor adjustments to path and the addition of more strength. Solid overall skill set with some physical upside remaining. Excellent Student.
