2021 Sunshine West Showcase
Preston Joncich is a 2022 OF/2B, 3B, SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Coronado. He has a tall frame with long limbs and room to add muscle as he develops. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.96 seconds. He is a primary outfielder that does a nice job of fielding the ball off his front foot allowing him to transfer the ball cleanly. He has a short throwing motion and delivers the ball quickly. Offensively he is a switch hitter, having better results from the right side. He starts in an even stance and uses a simple load and stride. He uses his lower half well and showed good hand speed. He has a line drive approach and made solid contact, especially pull side. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
