Steven Bayko is a 2007 C/3B/1B with a 6'2'', 210 lb. frame from Clinton KY, who attends Hickman County HS. He has a thick, mature frame with very good present strength. He is a very good game receiver with soft hands and good blocking skills. His lower half flexiblity is good for an athlete his size. Bayko's best pop time in drills was a 1.98 with 73 mph arm strength. He has a waggle in his arm stroke that slows down his release times at present. Offenisvely, Bayko is a switch-hitter with very similar approaches from both sides of the plate. He hits from a calm, open approach and generates good bat speed with some lift in his swing at contact. It's a low maintencence, consistent type of swing that should enable Bayko to be a consistent producer/hitter at the next level. Bayko is a good student who has signed with Murray State.
