Ryan Higgins is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from New Canaan, CT who attends St. Luke's. Strong athletic build with room to get stronger. Works from a 3/4's arm slot with good extension out front, drop and drive lower half mechanics to the plate. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight, really commanded the glove side corner well to right handed hitters, fastball has some heaviness to it down in the zone. High spin rate slider has good power and some bite to it, developing change up. Strike thrower with solid present stuff and a chance to keep getting better. Good student, verbal commitment to Duke.
