Jesus Nieves is a 2023 OF/RHP, IF with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from Naranjito, PR who attends Manuel Cruz Maceira Baseball. Leaner build with a sound wiry frame, athletic traits throughout. Ran a 6.74 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, stays squared well and throws showed solid plane out of the hand. Good accuracy to the bag and more arm strength in store as he continues to add strength. Right-handed hitter, starts from a open stance and wider base with a medium hand set and hanging leg kick. Rotates the hips hard through contact and fires to the pull side. Uphill path produces loft and some backspin, carry that way. Shows impact strength that plays to the gaps and should only develop. Good student. Named to Top Prospect list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
