Kevin Calzadilla is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Mater Academy Charter. Solid build, symmetrical frame with emerging overall strength and plenty of time to grow. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Primary position catcher who registered pop times consistently in the 2.2 range. Displayed soft actions with the glove and a good understanding of working the strike zone and presenting pitches well. Deliberate mechanics on his throws with a bit of length in the arm action. Had a feel for release point and showed nice accuracy on throws, putting ball on the bag with regularity. Right handed hitter using an even, in-line stance with a small stride to get started. Fired hips aggressively to develop swing and generated good hand speed through the zone. Pull oriented approach with intent to do damage on every swing, showing emerging power and more to come. Tremendous student and interesting follow for the near future.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
