Leonard Acosta is a 2019 OF/3B with a 6-2 191 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Mountain Island Charter. Large and physical frame with ideal strength to the build. Ran a 7.38 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, athletic actions to the baseball coming through it, short arm action through the back releasing the baseball from a high 3/4 arm slot, developing arm strength topping out at 74 mph from the outfield. Secondary third baseman who took reps in the infield with short strides to the ball, bends at waist into gather, similar arm strength as in the outfield. Righthanded hitter, sets up to hit with a slightly open stance, compact swing plane getting downhill to the baseball, upper half dominant stroke with limited lower half involvement, will improve strength off of the barrel and bat speed with the refinement of his lower half.
