Mason Swinney is a 2022 SS/2B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Hodges, AL who attends Phil Campbell. Taller and high waisted frame, very athletic look. Ran a 6.57 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, very good lateral quickness and he is an instinctual defender. Clean exchange with a very good arm, athletic enough to make all required plays at short stop. A right-handed hitter, slightly open start with a small stride to trigger. Good extension out front with some twitch in the wrists and helps to launch quickly. Middle of the field approach with a line drive approach. Huge upside with high level athletic traits. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Alabama.
