2022 Fall East Coast Showcase
Chase Thomas is a 2023 OF/SS with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Middletown, DE who attends Appoquinimink. Medium current frame with present muscularity and well developed lower half with good twitchy athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 6.90 seconds. Primary position OF, working deliberately to the ball, creating good angles and presenting the glove off to the side to field. Deep midline transfer as he squares up well to throw and uses a short, inline arm path to reach release point. Accurate on his throws that reached a peak velocity of 75 mph. RHH starting out with a neutral, slightly open stance and a high handset tilting the barrel over the plate to load the hands. Hanging leg lift to create his timing, getting into his backside well before accelerating to contact. Hand speed is there with strength at impact and when in the middle of the field really leaned on pitches. Foot speed and projectable power are impressive tools and should continue to trend upward in the coming months. Elite performer in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
