Carson Summerfield is a 2021 RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Murrieta Valley HS. Tall and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with a quiet and lean delivery, 3/4's arm slot, stays on top of the ball well, low effort release, could use his lower half more to help create additional velocity. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, worked low in the zone consistently with his fastball, more comfortable working arm side than glove side with his fastball at present, gets some run and sink on his fastball. Firm change up with some fading action. Did not observe a breaking ball and will have to develop one for the next level. Right handed hitter, upright stance with a leg lift load, downhill swing plane with ground ball contact. Good student.
