James (Jake) DuPre is a 2021 SS/C/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends McKinney Boyd HS. Recorded a 7.06 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a slender build and room to fill out. Primary shortstop with some actions with the glove hand. Quickness to footwork with aggressive actions. Good accuracy across the diamond with throws recorded up to 76 mph across. Arm strength plays from secondary position of catcher. Righthanded hitter with an even base, compact hands, and a squatted stance. Closed stance with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a small leg kick. Loads weight onto the back side with a longer swing path. Rocks into the load and looks to pull. Good student.
