Alexander Mesa is a 2024 3B/RHP, 1B, SS, OF with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Mater Academy Charter. Recorded a 7.39 second sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman showed good athleticism through the baseball as he funnels it to the side with a long transfer and release while accurately throwing 84 mph across the diamond. Mesa comes in on the baseball extremely well. Secondary right-handed pitcher delivers the baseball out of a three-quarter arm slot and lands slightly opened up with the front side showing good command of his fastball down in the zone. Mesa goes right after the hitters at 81 mph and mixes in good off-speed pitches with a sharp breaking ball that has 11/5 action. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with an even stance starting with a short, compact swing and shows good barrel control and bat speed with developing backspin on the baseball as he works gap-to-gap approach. Great student

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
