2023 14U Georgia All-State Games
Carter Phillips is a 2026 2B/3B with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Anderson, SC who attends Christ Church Episcopal. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.72 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, plays low on the approach to the ball, glove works out front, works to a lower slot on throws with arm strength that'll continue to develop, makes the plays and shows accuracy across. Also pitched, deliberate tempo on the mound, lower release height on the fastball from a higher slot; fastball topped out at 66 mph, mostly true through the zone with occasional sink. Induced ground ball contact, mixed a curveball with big shape up to 61 mph, worked around the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and loads weight onto backside at start; utilizes a heel lift prior to short stride into contact. Pre-pitch movement to hands, shows looseness in wrists and gets the barrel out front and on time, hands work in swing. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
